Florida offers an array of optimum military training environments vital to the U.S. national security strategy, including the Joint Gulf Range Complex, the Jacksonville Range Complex, and the Eastern Ranges on the Space Coast.

 The Department of Defense’s strategy emphasizes rapidly deployable joint forces, joint training, access to space, special operations, precision strike, and research & development, all of which are found in Florida.

Florida is home to three of ten unified combatant command headquarters, two of four deep water naval ports with adjacent airfields, the only east coast military space launch facility, one of three Navy Fleet Readiness Centers, the Joint Gulf Range Complex larger than all other combined U.S. test and training ranges in the U.S., and several critical research, development, training and evaluation (RDT&E) centers.
