“We’ve learned that Flagler County and the Space Coast region provide an amazing pool of talent from which to draw. Florida has an abundance of resources for businesses and we look forward to growing our company and taking advantage of all that the state has to offer.” - Christian Nielsen, President AveoEngineering
AveoEngineering of Palm Coast is a world-leading producer of high-technology electronics solutions and innovative LED lighting products for the aviation and aerospace industry. The company provides equipment for aviation manufacturers all over the world including Sikorsky, Gulfstream, General Atomics, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, and was seeking an opportunity to develop a new U.S. facility to meet increased demand.
When choosing a location for their new design and manufacturing center, AveoEngineering considered several other locations, including Texas and Malaysia, but ultimately decided to locate in Flagler County because of the close proximity to the Space Coast and available engineering workforce. The location also offered an airport location with runway access and an ideal quality of life.
The expansion will create 300 jobs and $7.5 million in capital investment for the Flagler County community. The company also anticipates large-scale savings from the recently enacted elimination of sales tax on manufacturing equipment and machinery championed by Governor Scott and the Florida legislature. “These cuts eliminate the double taxing on our manufacturing process and increase the output we can generate,” said Christian Nielsen, president of AveoEngineering.
