Site features expanded content for competitive job creation projects, international trade promotion and Florida’s sports industry
TALLAHASSEE, FL (February 5, 2014) – Today, Secretary of Commerce and president & CEO of Enterprise Florida (EFI) Gray Swoope announced the launch of EFI’s new website, featuring content and resources for businesses interested in locating and expanding in the state, as well as Florida businesses interested in expanding through international trade.
“This new website is critical to continuing our economic development success and communicating the support EFI offers to Florida businesses through international trade,” said Secretary Swoope. “Florida has the resources that companies are looking for, from a strong and diverse workforce to a top-ranked infrastructure and global access. This new site makes it easier for companies to learn more about Florida’s stature as a business super-state, as well as the services EFI offers.”
The new site features new and updated information including:
The website is located at and was designed and built by Winter Haven creative agency Clark/Nikdel/Powell (CNP). Chosen from a pool of 22 Florida firms, CNP’s innovation and experience in the economic development industry produced a highly visual and interactive site, featuring easier navigation in a format fully scalable to mobile devices.
The new site will also feature a preview of the first-ever Florida sites and buildings database. EFI is working with its statewide partners to catalog available properties for economic development projects. The database will be complete at the end of March.
“The new EFI site overall is really an extension of what EFI does to help create jobs, and improve and diversify Florida’s economy. It outlines all of the ways we can assist companies in locating or expanding in the state, and those Florida companies seeking new international markets to expand their reach,” said Secretary Swoope.
Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is a partnership between Florida’s businesses and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for the state of Florida. EFI facilitates job growth for Florida businesses through recruitment and retention, international trade and exporting, promotion of sporting events, and capital funding programs to assist small and minority businesses.
