Largest security exhibition in Mexico will feature world’s leading companies
TALLAHASSEE, FL (April 3, 2014) – Florida Secretary of Commerce and Enterprise Florida (EFI) president and CEO, Gray Swoope, announced that EFI will lead a delegation of six Florida small businesses and organizations to Expo Seguridad in Mexico from April 8-10. The exhibition is the largest in Mexico and draws attendance from nearly 30 countries.
Secretary Swoope said, “We are excited to have six Florida homeland security companies participate with us at Expo Seguridad. This trip is a cost-effective opportunity for them to promote their products internationally and, through our collaborative efforts, these companies will be able to grow and create new jobs in Florida.”
Expo Seguridad is a homeland security exhibition that offers top security companies a unique opportunity to demonstrate their competitive advantages in key targeted markets. The show had more than 12,500 attendees in 2012. More than 61 percent of the visitors are presidents/CEO’s, directors, managers or department supervisors in their organizations.
EFI’s presence in the U.S. Pavilion will allow the six Florida companies to cost-effectively exhibit their products. Of the companies attending, four were awarded a Target Sector Trade Grant. Without the assistance of EFI’s International Trade and Development efforts, many of the companies would not be able to attend or be as successful and efficient in reaching such a large audience.
The six Florida companies and organizations participating include:
Ditek Corporation – Largo
HighCom Security – Clearwater
LOKSAK – Apopka
NITV Federal Services – West Palm Beach
SCIF Solutions – Orange Park
West Indies Technologies – Hallandale Beach
President of LOKSAK, Linda Loksak said, “We have been receiving product interest calls from Latin American and we have never done a show in the region. We have concentrated sales in the USA and Europe via trade shows and we find that the exposure to thousands of potential customers under one roof is priceless. We have the assistance necessary prior to, during and after the show. We feel grateful for the help we have received so far. The above and beyond service of Enterprise Florida has been overwhelming. LOKSAK will benefit from the exposure in a new country and new market that would normally be difficult for a small company with limited funds.”
Executive Director of NITV Federal Services, Jim Kane said, “NITV Federal Services is very excited about exhibiting at Expo Seguridad, which is the largest security-related expo in Latin America. Our product, the Computer Voice Stress Analyzer, has been gaining acceptance in the Latin American market over the past several years and with the help of Enterprise Florida we are expecting our sales in this region to increase significantly. Enterprise Florida has simplified the entire process of exhibiting at Expo Seguridad and its professional staff members have provided us with invaluable assistance both in the U.S. and in Mexico. As a Florida-based company, we are grateful for the excellent support we have received from Enterprise Florida and look forward to working closely with them in the future.”
Ditek Corporation Business Development Manager, Pedro Carrasquillo said, ‘’DITEK is looking to increase its presence and exposure for our entire line of surge protection products in Mexico through our network of authorized distributors. Exhibiting at the Expo Seguridad Mexico Security Trade Show with the assistance from Enterprise Florida will exponentially increase our reach, networking and sales opportunities for surge protection products in Mexico. After all, there is a genuine need for our products in Mexico, and the Expo Seguridad event is the premier annual security trade show in the country.’’
President of West Indies Technologies, Ramses Maldonado said, “Being at Expo Seguridad provides West Indies Technologies a solid platform to get a broad exposure of our products and services to numerous new prospects. Through this Expo, we aim at securing new business, with the ultimate objective to create a firm foundation towards steady state expansion into this market. Having the opportunity to exhibit in the U.S. Pavilion with Florida is not only a privilege for us but is a tremendous opportunity to introduce our company (products and services) to a new market under the umbrella of such a strong brand name that Florida provides. We also see an immense value in being able to meet our fellow Florida entrepreneurs and create new relationships during the Expo. We are very impressed with the sharpness and professionalism of the Enterprise Florida team and without their framework of execution, attention to detail and help we would be unable to get this level of outreach and opportunities to a market as big as Mexico.”
