Space still available for Enterprise Florida-led mission to industry’s leading tradeshow
ORLANDO, Fla. (June 1, 2016) – Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) will lead a delegation of Florida small and medium-sized businesses to the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow from July 11-17, 2016. EFI will host the Florida Pavilion, which has long been the largest pavilion of any U.S. state in attendance.
“The Farnborough Airshow is a flagship event for the industry and Florida’s large presence at the show sets our state apart,” said Manny Mencia, senior vice president of international trade and development for EFI. “Throughout the show, Florida businesses in our pavilion will have the opportunity to sell their products and services to global aviation and aerospace leaders. The show also allows EFI to share the Florida business story with those same leading companies.”
The Florida Pavilion allows small and medium-sized aviation and aerospace companies to cost-effectively exhibit their products and services. Target Sector Trade Grants are available to offset booth costs for qualifying Florida companies. Without the assistance of EFI’s International Trade and Development efforts, many of the companies would not be able to attend and, without the pavilion, they would not be as successful and efficient in reaching such a large audience.
The companies and organizations participating in the Florida Pavilion include:
Farnborough was last held in 2014 and the Florida Pavilion was the largest of any state in attendance. The EFI-led mission resulted in more than $35.65 million in total projected sales for the eight Florida companies that exhibited. The show, held in London, was one of the largest aviation exhibitions in the world with approximately 1,500 exhibiting companies from nearly 50 countries and more than 107,000 trade visitors from around the world.
