Location of headquarters will create 200 jobs and a capital investment of $4 million
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Today, Vicinitas Cancer Care, Cancer Treatment Centers of America’s® Preferred Provider Alliance, announced it will establish its headquarters in Palm Beach County. Vicinitas Cancer Care will create 200 jobs and the company will invest $4 million to renovate and equip a 45,000 square foot facility.
Vicinitas will be a nation-wide network of physicians and other oncology care providers who share the same uncompromising focus on serving the needs of each individual patient. Each patient will work with a dedicated care manager to schedule all appointments, facilitate understanding of treatment options and coordinate communication among providers. The company is affiliated with Cancer Treatment Centers of America’s® national network of five cancer care hospitals.
Angela Marchi, President and CEO of Vicinitas Cancer Care stated, “More and more patients are seeking an integrative approach to their cancer care needs, but are frustrated with the limited options they have in their communities. Financial pressures are increasing on providers making it difficult for them to focus on practicing medicine. Vicinitas offers a unique solution to address the needs of both of these groups. We appreciate the warm welcome and spirit of cooperation we have received from the community, and we look forward to serving patients across the country from our new home in Boca Raton.”
Vicinitas is redefining community cancer care with its unique integrative model. Patients are better equipped and empowered through access to a network of experienced oncology providers and a full range of integrative therapies close to home. Providers receive assistance through dedicated care managers, and back office support. As the healthcare industry continues to seek ways to drive down costs, increase quality and improve transparency, Vicinitas represents an innovative approach which is attractive to physicians, payers, and most importantly patients. The company will offer services nationwide to connect patients with a network of best in class quality providers across the continuum of cancer care. Commencement of operations and launch of the company’s website are scheduled for late 2014.
