Site visitors are not required to register to view the publicly accessible portions of the enterpriseflorida.com site.
There are currently five situations in which personally identifiable information will be requested, monitored and maintained by EFI, including:
In each of these situations, visitors will be asked to volunteer personally identifiable information that can be verified by EFI. Once this information is volunteered, EFI can (but does not always) monitor Web visitation by individual site visitors. Visitors who are uncomfortable about volunteering personally identifiable information should not participate in any of the opportunities outlined in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 above.
EFI does not rent, sell or otherwise exchange contact names or information with third parties. EFI will forward personal information gathered from the site to another Florida economic development organization at the local or regional level ONLY if the owner of that information specifically directs EFI to do so for follow-up purposes on a request for assistance.
Site visitors will be given the opportunity to opt into a variety of communication options and should only select those options that interest them.
At all times, EFI reserves the right to send one outbound e-mail notification for each new opportunity, site update, or publication available for distribution. If a visitor chooses not to opt into future distribution of that material, they will not be added to that particular distribution list (this does not preclude them from receiving other materials chosen previously).
This opt-in policy ONLY applies to information volunteered through enterpriseflorida.com, members.enterpriseflorida.com or any enterpriseflorida.com e-mail address.
EFI may, at its discretion, distribute marketing materials to individuals or organizations who have been identified from outside sources, such as: direct mail lists; independent research; association directories; magazine subscriber lists; trade shows; and face-to-face meetings.
At any time, My eFlorida members may opt out of any or all future communication from EFI by signing into the My eFlorida section (available by clicking on the My eFlorida button). My eFloridamembers may either de-select specific preferences or choose the “Unsubscribe from all future communication from Enterprise Florida, Inc.” option.
Alternatively, anyone(whether or not they are a registered My eFlorida member) may opt-out of future communications by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mailing a request to: Marketing & Information Department, Enterprise Florida, Inc., 800 N. Magnolia Ave., Suite 1100, Orlando, FL 32803. Please specify which communications to remove, such as: mail, e-mail, phone calls, newsletters or ALL.
Site visitors who have volunteered contact and preference information on the My eFlorida section of the site, may access that information at any time and correct it online. Log in to My eFlorida to edit information quickly and easily. EFI’s goal is to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Any site visitor may request a copy of all of their personal information on file (assuming EFI has received and retained their information) by sending a request to email@example.com or mailing a request to: Marketing & Information Dept., Enterprise Florida, Inc., 800 N. Magnolia Ave., Suite 1100, Orlando, FL 32803. For security purposes, you may be asked to verify some of the information on file for identification purposes. Please note that EFI representatives will NOT ask for credit card, or other financial information, as a means of verifying your identity.

Any time credit card information is captured on the site. a secure connection to Verisign, Inc. (with SSL encryption) captures the information being sent. The presence of the “lock” icon in the lower right hand section of the Internet browser indicates that information is being passed using SSL encryption. Under no circumstances does EFI retain credit card information volunteered online. In fact, EFI never has access to that information, since it is all passed to Verisign by means of a third-party shopping cart protocol.
Credit card information provided to EFI by phone will be destroyed immediate after that information is passed along to Verisign, Inc. for credit card processing.
EFI does not maintain an on-going record of credit card information. There is no such thing, for example, as a “save for later” option on enterpriseflorida.com.
While the vast majority of information contained on enterpriseflorida.com is available for use by all site visitors, some site content is password-protected. According to contract stipulations with various information suppliers, EFI is obligated to restrict some site content to visitors who meet certain criteria.
